Casino Buys Ad on Careening Car
A father of three has just decided that instead
of selling his old Dodge neon and only reaping a fraction of what he has sunk
into the thing in the past year trying to salvage its engine, he is going to
auction of ad space on the car before he lets it sail to it doom at the bottom
of a one hundred and fifty foot rock quarry. As always the taker of this odd
proposition was none other then the online gambling site with the knack for
absurd advertising, Golden Palace.com.
The online gambling site won the auction for
the ad space on the leaping car with a two thousand and five hundred and fifty
dollar bid, which essential allows the owner, Will Stuckenburg, to regain the
amount of money that he had already put into the failing vehicle before buying
his wife a new minivan for their growing family. The online gambling site also
knows that since this is the first time some one has pulled such a stunt it will
receive more media attention that any other follow up attempts at attention, so
the exposure opportunity is a good one.
The car will be occupied by two blow-up dolls
to be named Thelma and Louise and have a brick place on the gas to send them
careening into the chasm below. First the online gambling site sponsored ad will
be seen in a pre-fall victory lap complete with photo-op and television coverage
to ensure a dramatic build before its life-ending leap. The online gabling site
seemed amused at the idea in a press release saying, " It's not the first
car we've used for advertising, but it is the first one that will be destroyed
in the process."
