Winners of Poker, Let Them Eat Cake
I don't know about you, but when I think of online gambling, there is only one
clear thing that comes to mind...cake. OK so maybe I'm being a little sarcastic,
but apparently Poker.com did not feel that it was such an abstract concept given
the top prize for their one year birthday celebration poker tournament. The
tournament consisted of up to fifty thousand dollars in prize money, the top
prize being ten thousand dollar and, you guessed it, a years supply of cake.
We're not sure if the cake had to specifically be of the birthday persuasion,
but chances are the twenty-six year old college student who one the top spot
will next have to search out a poker tournament featuring a gym membership as
part of it top prize. The option would be for him to use the generosity of the
online gambling in order to meet new friends by holding monthly birthday parties
for anyone at his school with birthdays in that given month. Or maybe he should
hold his own poker tournaments sans online casino and offer a cake as part of
the top prize for each.
On e way or another he seems to be thrilled with his win and its caloric worth,
"I just kept telling myself it's like any other final poker table - play the
cards and play the players. About halfway through, I had enough of a total chip
lead to try bluff a big poker pot with nothing after the flop. I got called with
my pants down though (I had a 9/10) and hit a K high straight with a J on the
river!" Hey, you know, with ten thousand dollars he is sure to be able to have
his cake and work it off with a personal trainer too!
