Great Britain Flushes Out Regulations

Great Britain is making the move to allow registered online gambling sites to operate with in its borders. And given the already visible rise in gambling addictions greatly  due to the fact of increased availability via online gambling sites, the British government is already drawing up plans that would regulate online gambling sites to the point that the would need to self-manage and prevent addictive or unnaturally gambling habits.

The main part of this effort would be in a sophisticated monitoring system that would allow online gambling sites to notice when players are moving into an addictive pattern of wagering. The the sites would be require to send messages suggesting that the player take a break for the time being. Even more dramatic options would include a "disable play" feature that would restrict a hyperactive player from making wagers for a designated period of time.

Some of the other efforts to curb compulsive gambling would be to make the players bank amount and time spent playing completely visible at all time in order to bring awareness of the reality of what they are doing. That is actually the number one issue that severe online gambling addict sited was that they lost their concept of reality due to the fact that all of their betting was taking place in the virtual world. These reminder will be use to help instill the reality that the money being bet is anything but virtual.
